It's 30F here and I'm grilling chicken breasts. No wind to speak of but it's a wee bit chilly. As long as it's above 0F and no wind, it's grilling season here.

How about you, how cold is too cold?

When dressing and undressing takes too long to tend to the food, it's too cold. Unless you can just stay outside with the grill, then it's all good.

I grill and run a charcoal smoker year round.

It depends on wind more than temperature. I'll grill below zero if it's not windy.

Temperature doesn't keep me from going out to the grill.  I drew the line when I looked at the TV and my house was dead center in the predicted track of a tornado; that rib-eye came out medium-well unfortunately

-44 degrees F.  This is the boiling point of propane.  And at this temperature you cannot get enough vapor pressure to grill with propane.

we grill out in as cold as -65 ..duh..especially at the trapping cabin...    means ya gotta wear your sledding gear but normally we have the fire pit going as well so its not bad at all..we also sit out till 3-4 am drinking around the pit as well when its that cold out..now..hauling all the wood to my cabin is a pain in the ass sometimes..but its not too bad...

my son while he was on leave from the Marines  one spring for a spring bear hunt...

I had to pour hot water over the gas regulator one time to thaw it out and get the grill to work at work....it was in the teens I guess.  I don't think there's such a thing as too cold!

I saw a show about people who maintain pipelines in Siberia, above the Arctic circle. It's so cold your spit (or piss) freezes before it hits the ground, and in the morning they had to build fires under the fuel tanks of their trucks...to thaw the diesel which froze overnight.

Those fuckers grilled, and in short pants and t-shirts. Of course, that's when the wind is not howling.

I have a Coleman camp stove that runs off of unleaded gas and Coleman fuel, when it gets down near zero you have to warm up a fuel feed tube on it with a candle to get it lit. Once going it works fine.

I've been camping and BBQing out in 15 to 12 degree weather. The booze helps a lot + metal/ceramic plates that you leave on the edge of the fire to keep the food and meat warm while you cook and eat. Ski pants and jackets keep your backside from getting too cold.

THAT's the spirit !  BTDT

There's little more satisfying than standing around a grill cooking some meat
with snow blowing in your face and a beer in your hand !  Grill beer is pretty
damn close to a shower beer.

I buy little scratch and dent grills from Wal-mart, those little grills are gtg for just the wife and I during a week night dinner. Charcoal chimneys (old school ones) are a must. We have a Weber for larger occasions. As long as I can grill out of the wind (large pole building) I will grill in any cold temp
