In the summer of this year we reported about the class action lawsuit that Taurus lost, and was filed by a sheriff in Iowa over some defective conditions of their semi automatic line of handguns. The payout was over millions of dollars. However a video has recently been surfacing of several Taurus handguns in this infamous drop test, and the results don’t look very good.

I don't own a Taurus Pistol, but the first video appears the trigger spring was faulty as the trigger should not have enough mass to do what is shown.

Secondly some dude shaking a pistol and it going off is not proof of a problem. We have no idea what was done to that firearm previously.

I'll wait for a expert pistol-smith to inspect said guns and let me know if there really is a design fault. Until then it's just internet BS.

Of course I doubt those guns will be subject to thorough review.

My BIL bought a Taurus revolver that has a vent rib 6" barrel. I tried hard to have him buy a Smith or Ruger but he didn't listen. The front fell off...yes the barrel fell off When he told me I just shrugged
