Howdy GD. just got back from the local range. Took dad with me because he's taken an interest in a CCW. I rented a g17, g19 and a M&P 9 full size. He had little to no experience with handguns and over all it was a good trip for the first time with a pistol. Anyway had no problems with either Glock however the m&p had lots of light primer strikes. Is this just a dirty beat up range gun issue or is that common for the M&P ?

I own several Glocks and M&P's, I bought some M&P's when they first hit all I have ever done is field strip and clean and not one problem.  Range gun may have had some brass/unburned powder in the firing pin hole is all I can think of.  One range I used to go to made you buy their shitty dirty ammo and pay premium price, I suspect this was the case?

Winchester white box. 124 grain box of 50. 16$ and some change. Brass case fmj stuff. No idea about how shitty or dirty it is. Cheaper than 5.56 I know that much

M&P should be a Timex. If it wasn't working it's probably a rental issue like poor maintenance or a broken firing pin.
