Hello guys, I have a question regarding wireless security cams, even though the information
that I received from some of you on here about a week ago was helpful it still didn't answer my question so here it goes, I'm looking for a wireless security system with 1 to 2 cams that will record while I'm away. Motion activated would be great but not necessary. I would like to be able to view the activity when I return home from work if Necessary. The information some of you gave me last time was great, but it was for all real time viewing, that Fortunately doesn't work for me. So was there anything in the wireless department that is motion activated with a memory card of some sort? |

Arlo is what you seek. Motion activated. Files saved to the cloud viewable from smart phone or computer. Instant notification of activity with option to live view if desired. He doesn't want real time viewing and he wants a networkless camera (AKA SD card) |

been using foscam wifi cameras for 2 years now. 4 cameras.
connected to a dedicated PC running BLUE IRIS recording software. cameras will do motion detection so i don;t record 24x7 only when they are triggered. The PC stores the videos locally and they are also sync'd to my google drive at the same time. i can do realtime viewing from anywhere on any device as well as stream recorded events. system works great. they have several models that have built in SD capable dvr on board the camera itself. |

How about a Costco system...Lorex or other.
$500-$700 and comes with 8 cameras and about a 1T hard drive. I use one and it records motion only...I have it also plugged into a monitor...1) to playback and 2) live view if needed. so far? caught my daughters friends TP'ing the house and moths...lots of moths.... |

Safes & Home Security Start by reading the various "How To" threads in that section on cameras and security systems. Much is answered in that forum. Edit to add: Unless one absolutely needs wireless I'd go with wired and if money supports it PoE cameras and NVR's. That said I setup a Amcrest 720p HDCVI DVR 4channel/4camera kit for a family member recently and it works fine. Can access the DVR remotely and view live video and download recorded video if needed. They paid $320 for the kit through Amazon. We get notified via email with motion alerts which contain an image snapshot from the camera. |
