I've always wanted to do a lamp project out of a defunct gun. I had an agreement with a guy to buy his blown up AK but he never came through

I've had this build done for a while but it's my most recent gun and I just put the scope on it this summer.

Because I don't want to tie up a working gun. I'd rather use a gun that's either unsafe to shoot or that's broken beyond reasonable repair. The AR example above looks pretty good though. It'd be easy to fix the stock to the base and then just slide the gun off the stock and put a different stock on the gun if you wanted to use it. But I'd like to run the wires through the bore on my project, if that helps explain my thinking better.

My most recent build looks just like this one with a standard m4 stock and slightly different rail (parallax tactical)
