It's been 23 years since he was killed He was one of my favorite "dirty" comedians. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-B10ATxe-Ylc/VQmp_4kWxgI/AAAAAAAAVJg/HmJOs_c8zkA/s1600/SamKinison.jpg The "world hunger" bit was a side-splitter. Oddly enough, he started out a Preacher. Real fire and brimstone type. I listed to a couple of his sermons that were recorded back then and they were pretty good. |

Sam Kinison was the best.
The closest comedian I found to him is Bill Burr. He's about as un-PC as you can get, especially his take on women. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr162OZ2Z0w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjQnha99sTY |

First time meet with a girl, getting some coffee, and Rodney comes walking by. Stops and starts talking to us. |

Good answer. I'm going to be watching you. |

Quoted: Kinison was great, but he wouldn't be the same without the maniacal screaming... |

The Vietnam flashback in the movie Back to School was hilarious https://youtu.be/0uqjznmTp80 I played that for one of my classes a couple of years ago when they were a bit too apathetic on a conflict lecture. I told them Sam Kinison was channeling for me. They didn't get it. |

I remember exactly where I was when I learned of his death. I was heartbroken, devestated. Sam was one of those people ... he shined so brightly. I cried. He was such a great guy. Ha, me too. I remember being told about it, exactly where I was, who was there... |

Saw him at Illinois State Braden Auditorium not too long before he died. It was awesome. He found a volunteer guy in the audience who had just had the eject handle pulled on him by a petty bitch, and he called her on the phone from the stage. started out all calm and quiet, and before it was over, he was screaming at her in his manner, and calling her lots of names. EVERY guy in the place was on their feet in a standing ovation, while most of the females were less than happy. Yet, even some of the women were applauding.
He was good. very very good. |
|
I discovered his comedy just before he died. The timing was awful. "Wow. This guy is great!...Shit, he's dead." Live from Hell is one of the best comedy albums of all time. "The Terminator's back! This time he's gay! Oh shit!" "Now that we have the smart bomb, you know what would be funny? If we put a video camera right on the head of it!" "Buddy, if it hurts that bad to piss, DIE! LAY DOWN AND DIE!" |

That was the funniest shit I think I've ever heard in my life. I was crying I was laughing so damn hard. Quoted:

The one bit he did when he pretended to be a corpse that was being sodomized was hilarious. It was way too much for a lot of people. That was the funniest shit I think I've ever heard in my life. I was crying I was laughing so damn hard. I've searched around a lot but can't find the video. It was classic Sam. |

The camera man is right there. He could give him a sandwich.... I always thought his death was the ultimate joke. So much of his shtick was about the horrors of marriage, and he died returning home from his honeymoon. His own brother said that Sam's career ended with that marriage, anyway. His brother said that Sam was happy for the first time in his life...and his comedy came directly from his pain. If there was no more pain...he wasn't funny anymore. Thank God we got to see him at The Brady Theater in Tulsa just before he was killed. Sam is buried about 5 miles straight down the street from where I live. |
