It's been 23 years since he was killed

He was one of my favorite "dirty" comedians.

The "world hunger" bit was a side-splitter.

On of my favorite SK bits.

I liked his bit about being married and then going to Hell.

"Oh, you were married three times?  Want a job?"

he told it like it was.. we need more of that these days

" Honey. It's the guys. They're all taking theirs....she said no fucking way."

The camera man is right there.  He could give him a sandwich....

I always thought his death was the ultimate joke.  So much of his shtick was about the horrors of marriage, and he died returning home from his honeymoon.

When I was young my best friend and I dropped acid and went to see him.I laughed so hard I almost shit my pants

I love his bit on the homeless.
11/2/2015 12:22:21 PM EDT

I saw him shortly before he died. I didn't drop acid but still laughed my butt off.

He did a bit on amyl nitrate (sp?) That was roll-on-the-floor hilarious.

Oddly enough, he started out a Preacher. Real fire and brimstone type. I listed to a couple of his sermons that were recorded back then and they were pretty good.

The one bit he did when he pretended to be a corpse that was being sodomized was hilarious. It was way too much for a lot of people.

Sam Kinison was the best.

The closest comedian I found to him is Bill Burr. He's about as un-PC as you can get, especially his take on women.

I played that for one of my classes a couple of years ago when they were a bit too apathetic on a conflict lecture. I told them Sam Kinison was channeling for me. They didn't get it.

I remember exactly where I was when I learned of his death.  I was heartbroken, devestated.  Sam was one of those people ... he shined so brightly.   I cried.   He was such a great guy.

Seen him live, he put on a great show, did all his top bits. Really liked to fuck with the audience, his non PC style is sorely missed.

Saw him at Illinois State Braden Auditorium not too long before he died.  It was awesome.  He found a volunteer guy in the audience who had just had the eject handle pulled on him by a petty bitch, and he called her on the phone from the stage.  started out all calm and quiet, and before it was over, he was screaming at her in his manner, and calling her lots of names.  EVERY guy in the place was on their feet in a standing ovation, while most of the females were less than happy.  Yet, even some of the women were applauding.

He was good.  very very good.

I discovered his comedy just before he died.  The timing was awful.
"Wow.  This guy is great!...Shit, he's dead."
Live from Hell is one of the best comedy albums of all time.
"The Terminator's back!  This time he's gay!  Oh shit!"

"Now that we have the smart bomb, you know what would be funny?  If we put a video camera right on the head of it!"

"Buddy, if it hurts that bad to piss, DIE!  LAY DOWN AND DIE!"

His own brother said that Sam's career ended with that marriage, anyway.

His brother said that Sam was happy for the first time in his life...and his comedy came directly from his pain.

If there was no more pain...he wasn't funny anymore.

Thank God we got to see him at The Brady Theater in Tulsa just before he was killed. Sam is buried about 5 miles straight down the street from where I live.

Seen him in a small theatre here in town in like 88-89.
