Wasps around my house are terrible this time of year.  Usually I just stay inside when they're out but this year another idea came to mind.

The wasps like to lay in that 90* corner where the rafters meet the rim joists so I light them up with a flashlight and wack them with a paintball gun.

Started 4 days ago and the wasp population is reduced by about 80% plus it's really fun to see them splatter and die. It actually feels a little bit like hunting but I don't have to leave my land.

I use this:

I thought this would be a White Anglo Saxon Protestant thread.

Guess not.

I'll check in anyway.

I think I'm behind the times, I've been using pumpkin spice lattes and Ugg boots on my baitpile, but I'm not seeing squat out there. What's the new hotness for WASP bait?

as long as you are not on a street named MLK Blvd a can of wasp spray is about as much entertainment as $3 is going to get you in Texas...

You could get a marlin garden gun (smooth bore .22) and shoot bird shot at the insects

We use that (or an old 22 H&R revolver) to shoot bore bees.  They are a menace to log homes.  It is (or used to be) cheaper than emptying a bunch of Raid at them, and it's more fun.

Live in a very rural area so the shooting is not an issue.
