This isn't the first time I've bought something from TigerDirect but it certainly will be my last. About a month ago I started college and decided I needed to replace my 5 year old laptop. I searched online for the laptop I wanted and TigerDirect has the lowest price. I'm going to school on the GI Bill so I have to be thrifty and all. This is about 3 days before classes start so I payed for 1 day shipping just to be sure. After 24 hours the laptop hadn't shipped. Being worried that my computer wouldn't arrive in time for classes I canceled the order and placed another order to Amazon for the same laptop and payed for next day shipping. The next day my laptop arrives from Amazon and everything is great.

Four days later I receive a second identical laptop from TigerDirect. I checked my credit card and sure enough those cocksuckers charged me. I was fucking livid. It took them four god damn days to ship me my package when I payed for next day shipping. The worst part? The laptop that TigerDirect sent me was dropped shipped from fucking Amazon! I live just south of Seattle so anything from Amazon is shipped fast as shit usually.

I got on the phone and told them the situation and they said they would provide me with a return shipping label. A week later I have yet to receive the return label in my email. Long story short I contacted them two additional times trying to get them to send me a return shipping label and the bastards in their customer service told me to just wait a little while longer. Almost a month after this whole fucking ordeal started my patience was exhausted. I called them told them to email me the fucking label and after 30 minutes on the phone with some poor bastard they finally send me the return shipping label.

I fucking hate TigerDirect!

i will credit your frustrations on the overnight shipping.

but for the duplicate, it sounds like you're impatient and they are doing good on correcting the issue.

try canceling an order at any place that has already been sent to the shipping fulfillment center. you're still going to get the item and charged for it accordingly.

Me too!

I bought a gaming pc from them and It was a expensive build. They messed my order up bad, finally got it sorted. Anyways, they gave me a 100$ tiger direct store credit and after a few weeks changed it to 10$ and denied everything. They mailed me the 100$ "gift card" before they changed it! I sent them a picture of the logs and the gift card that I was mailed. There customer service at the time of last year around Feb/March was horrible.

I've never bought anything since. They did close down all there stores and go online only for a reason!

I bought about a dozen refurb hard drives from them off of a rack from one of their retail outlets (before it closed).
I'm an IT guy and needed a stock of drives.

Out of that dozen, about 5 were DOA when I tested them. Took them back to the store and they refused to take
them back for a refund. They claimed they were sold "as-is" even though there was nothing stating that at the
time of the sale. The clerk said the price tags "were coded to be as-is". Well I didn't have a Tiger secret decoder
ring so had no way to know that.

As I was fighting with the clerk on this, there was a guy at the next register who had a four wheeler loaded with
a couple of computers and a whole bunch of stuff, looked like several grand worth. The little Tiger sales geek
dude was with with him to help ring up the sale. The guy sees my fight with the clerk, and says forget it if that's
the way you treat customers. He left the four wheeler full of stuff and left the store. Sales geek dude was bummed.

Lol... instant karma on that one.

Yep, I hate Tiger too!

People actually but stuff from Tiger Direct? Weird. I've never bought anything from them but have heard a lot of horror stories.

We used to buy tons of stuff from them, but they had some kind of corporate restructuring about a year ago and the sales reps started harassing me (literally calling every week trying to sell me stuff). After a couple of months of that shit, I finally told them to close our account and burn my phone number.  They still call about once a month.

This should make you happy.

If you had ever walked into one of their stores, you would have known better than to shop there.

I could not believe how shady they were.

Just getting a refund is like pulling teeth.   Very ghetto.  Even for Miami.

Thrifty because of the GI bill? You're getting your tuition covered, 1k for books, and BAH, life should be great

I've been trying to get an $80 credit for a price match from them for a while.

I see that you have a JPN flag under your avatar.

Perhaps you should've ordered from a source in Japan if you had wanted next day shipping.

International datelines, how do they work?

And that, too.

They are the Botach of computer parts, deal with them accordingly.

Tiger Direct?  I've never even heard of it, but with a name like that... there is no way in hell I would buy something from them.

Yes, because "NewEgg", and "Amazon", and "AIM" sound so much more reputable.
