| I know everyone here is Tier 1, but the "Fighting Fudd" thread got me thinking. Some of the favorites in my safe are lever/bolt actions & wheel guns. Do you guys still have love for a good Smith or 30-30? Have we thrown out the baby w/ the bath water due to our obsession w/ tactical shit & plastic fantastics? Does my Model 13 still have a place in a world of operators, or am I a closet Fudd? |

Fudd is an attitude not a collection This. I like some fudd guns just fine. They are fun to shoot. But I'll always have a selection of modern fighting arms as well. Because well, both are guns but they are specialized at different tasks. Not to mention that fudd guns are very likely to be the last guns banned, so I am starting with the most probable to be banned items first and then will move to fudd stuff after I can no longer acquire modern fighting arms at reasonable prices. Just smart use of my $. |

Just smart use of my $. I guess that's part of my query. When I hang out w/ young guys and bust out anything with wood grips/stock, they seem disinterested. I mean, yeah - I keep a healthy collection of pmags, but I'm a much better shot w/ a good bolt .308. Also have a lot more fun with six rds of .357 than 15 rds of 9mm. I know they both have their place, but why are these kids bored? |

My interest has always been in military arms, a martini Henry to M4a1, i love them all, civilian guns i find boring |

Nice, but I can only get so erect. |

I carry a .38 spl and a pump shotgun almost everywhere that I go. At night on the nightstand, and propped up on my wife's side of the bed in case I have to roll out on her side of the bed to get a decent field of fire in the bedroom doorway.. My country granddad carried a .32 H&R and had quite a reputation with it. |

Tell me more about the Mauser. I think old guns with set triggers are too cool |

A good clean over and under shotgun can serve quite a purpose in the right hands. |

I bought it specifically becuase I wanted a lever action hunting rifle, plus, the wood is so gorgeous that it almost belongs in the Louvre. The oldies have a sense of class and refinement we're never going to see again; So yes, we're out here. |

One of the most accurate out of the box rifles that I have ever owned. Very tight at 100 yards with open sights in five shot groups. |

. They just don't do anything for me.
