I am posting this mainly to see if others had the same experience that I have. It definitely isn't a cool story for most. Anyway, the first day was constant but minor bleeding and very little pain (I only took two doses of pain medicine and stopped). Day two was constant nasal drainage. Day three was the beginning of pure misery as my sinuses totally stopped up and I developed a sinus infection (I get them often). Once I figured out that I could squirt saline up my nose, that helped to a certain extent. Day four was more of the same. Day five I started to feel much better because my sinuses started to loosen up.
Now, at two weeks, my nose is still a little sore to the touch and if I bend over too far or pick up something more than 25 lbs, I feel it in my nose and it actually feels like it might swell a little bit. I was hoping that I would be past that at this point. Is that consistent with everyone else's recovery? My Dr. didn't put any packing or stints in my nose and he used dissolving stitches. Overall, not a bad experience, to this point. I still have swelling and congestion, but even with that, i can breath through my nose better than before. |

Thats barely any symptoms for two weeks in. I had draining for at least two months, bloody boogers for about a year. Damn. I am just itching to get back to working out and being able to pick up the dog or whatever else needs picking up off the floor. The dr. told me no working out for two weeks, so I assumed that I wouldn't have any problem with bending over at this point. I have pushed back working out to at least three weeks now. |

Sounds like that would be a suck thing to have, glad you got it fixed. Have any cool surgery pictures? I had planned on taking some pictures as things went along, but anesthesia wreaks havoc on my thought processes and i forgot to. Really though, outside of the bandage taped under my nose, there wasn't anything to see. |
