| I'm about to start monthly donations, is the Wounded warrior project gtg? Does the money go where it supposed to? |
| No. Many better charities out there. I use to do Tough Mudder and bike races for them. Never again. Oh and they are anti gun also. They hire celebs to do their commercials and give very little to vets. They publicize the select few they do help for good marketing. |

Thank you. I used homes for heroes to purchase my first house. http://i.imgur.com/Z9hRdDR.png It was very helpful to us! And Persec, even for the baby lol Quoted:

What everyone else here has said. I helped to run a group of firefighters who threw fund raisers and we tried to get them to assist us. They couldn't be bothered. We eventually teamed up with building homes for heroes. Thank you. I used homes for heroes to purchase my first house. http://i.imgur.com/Z9hRdDR.png It was very helpful to us! And Persec, even for the baby lol Especially for the baby. |

Here is a good one.
Special Operations Warrior Foundation 89% goes to the program. 11% expenses. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=7584#.VhFRBELQrak WWP has 60% to the program. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=12842#.VhFRyELQrak |

OP is trolling and pretty weak at it. No honest question, sorry I don't live on the site 24 hours a day. Honest answer: They have a higher overhead and little actually goes to the people that actually need it. For those who try to coordinate with them to raise money or host an event, if said event will not make enough money or place WWP at the top of the listing order, they will decline to participate. These days WWP will only participate in events in which they have 100% control over. Oh....and they have been known to be anti-gun as well. As others have stated, there are far better charities out there. |

Special Ops Warrior Foundation or Fisher House.
http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=7584#.VhFtVvlViko Here's for Fisher House -- 94.7% goes to their work for troops and families: http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=7585#.VhFsy_lViko |

WWP does not co-brand, create cause marketing campaigns or receive a percentage or a portion of proceeds from companies in which the product or message is sexual, political or religious in nature, or from alcohol or firearms companies. |

Oh....and they have been known to be anti-gun as well. As others have stated, there are far better charities out there. I've been on a WWP Sponsored goose hunting trip, have buddies that have been on other WWP hunting trips. WWP did have a hard time reacting to critics that were questioning the wisdom of putting Vets, specifically ones with severe PTSD, in a situation where it was a firearm-related venue. IIRC, this was also around the time that Chris Kyle was killed. Their (WWP) reaction to all of this was awkward, ham-fisted and flat inappropriate. I believe there was a couple of upper echelon firings over the whole thing. Their finance and expenditures do suck, however(!), they employ a Metric Shitton of Vets. |

Fisher house pretty much gives 100%. |
