No. Many better charities out there. I use to do Tough Mudder and bike races for them. Never again. Oh and they are anti gun also. They hire celebs to do their commercials and give very little to vets. They publicize the select few they do help for good marketing.

Nope fuck WWP

Check out the next objective if you are looking for something for vets. Or healing waters fly fishing. Both are awesome and ran by volunteers so nearly 100% go to the vets.

What everyone else here has said.

I helped to run a group of firefighters who threw fund raisers and we tried to get them to assist us.  They couldn't be bothered.

We eventually teamed up with building homes for heroes.

My personal friend is the founder and puts almost every single dollar into helping vets. Great cause to donate to and I can guarantee donations will be used appropriately and for the vets. Please check it out.

wwp is not liked around here. something about a low % of donations actually making it to wws.

I think there is a site somewhere which shows the final % of money that makes it to individuals.

Honest answer:  They have a higher overhead and little actually goes to the people that actually need it.  For those who try to coordinate with them to raise money or host an event, if said event will not make enough money or place WWP at the top of the listing order, they will decline to participate.  These days WWP will only participate in events in which they have 100% control over.

Oh....and they have been known to be anti-gun as well.

As others have stated, there are far better charities out there.

Look at Charitynavigator.com

34% of their donations go toward fundraising, leading some to argue that the WWP is largely in the business of... funding the WWP.

They're also anti-2A.

SOWF! A true charity that focuses solely on the warrior and surviving family members.

WWF focus is fund raisers to pay for fund raising, so they can have more fund raisers to pay salaries of the fund raisers.

WWP does not co-brand, create cause marketing campaigns or receive a percentage or a portion of proceeds from companies in which the product or message is sexual, political or religious in nature, or from alcohol or firearms companies.

I've been on a WWP Sponsored goose hunting trip, have buddies that have been on other WWP hunting trips. WWP did have a hard time reacting to critics that were questioning the wisdom of putting Vets, specifically ones with severe PTSD, in a situation where it was a firearm-related venue.

IIRC, this was also around the time that Chris Kyle was killed. Their (WWP) reaction to all of this was awkward, ham-fisted and flat inappropriate. I believe there was a couple of upper echelon firings over the whole thing.

Their finance and expenditures do suck, however(!), they employ a Metric Shitton of Vets.

We'll round that number up. Fisher house pretty much gives 100%.
