Ok guys, it's been a tough week for everyone and we have all seen the hardship in the news. Some of it hits close to home for some of us than for others. 
Someone (I apologize I forgot the poster's name) did a positive thread a few weeks back, just to cut through all the bad things that were happening. Just to remind everyone that things were ok and good people were still around. I hope this makes some folks day better since that previous thread gave me a lift. Post some positive things that happened today. I'll start. - The guy who made my breakfast burrito stuffed a lot of hash browns, onions, and cheese in there, made it real good - Girlfriend surprised me at the office with balloons, potato wedges, and a case of beer for my birthday. She is the best thing to ever happen to me. - One of my best college buddies and his fiancee got their wedding license |

I'm on the same page, got home from work (Roseburg and Medford of all places) and wife is watching news and talking about negative shit so I told her, "We are shutting off the TV, opening some wine, playing some happy music, and having a good night." My positive news is I'm home with my lovely wife and opening a bottle of wine. It's an at-home date night for us

It's my B-Day today! OK, Ok, ok...I'm older. Maybe, not even smarter than yesterday (brain cells loss due to drinking adult beverages)? Oh well.
I got a FREE coffee at Starbucks. I used a coupon at Arby's and got lunch for $4.29. I got my refund from my doctor. I made a mistake while paying a bill online and put the decimal in the wrong place. So there. Aloha, Mark |
Bought new brake pads for my truck, and the girl at Autozone told me they have a lifetime warranty. It is my second set, so I brought the old ones back today and got my money back, no problem. 
Took a trolling motor battery to Academy to replace it since it wouldn't take a charge. I was just bringing it in for the core/recycle. Even after I told them that, they rang it in as a full return and I got a new one for free (and they had some .22). 
I just got an email from my insurance, telling me that after going to arbitration with the insurance co of the dude that opened his door into the side of my truck while I was pulling past him in a parking lot in June, they are reimbursing me for my deductible
