I have been working around a overgrown older home.
I noticed a red spot around 10 days ago and thought it was a flea, skeeter or ingrown hair - you know a 2 or 3 day deal.
It has not been as red or noticable until I wore boots yesterday - I had been wearing low cut redwing work oxfords combined with low cut socks,so something coulda bit me.
It is not hot to touch, does not feel like a zit that can be popped and not particularly sore or tender

Is this a dreaded spider bite? I wouldn't be thinking too much bout it if the redness and swollenness (for lack of a better word) had happened right when I first noticed it but this seems sorta time delayed with my first wearing of boots rubbing on it causing it to get "worse". The place is buggy and saw a baby copperhead yesterday so it's prime habitat for things that bite.

Anything to worry about? Crazy mersa prelude to explode?

By day two or three mine was WAY worse than that and had already started turning black in the center.

MRSA would be extremely swollen and painful after the first day or two with inflammation creeping into the hand.  That may just be an ordinary spider bite.

I don't see any puncture wounds, so I'm not thinking spider / insect bite.
Looks more like MRSA, which isn't always hot or painful.

I got it from a brown recluse in TX, never felt it but nearly lost my right lower leg. Don't fuck around OP get it checked out.

Looks like an ingrown hair. Q-tip some Tea Tree Oil on it for the infection (you can buy it at the local drugstore).

Oh, and dibs. I can't believe no one has called it yet. Dibs on guns, ammo, optics and accessories.

Cut it open and see what's inside, post video.
