My wife had one as a rental a few years ago.

Her verdict was POS

My friend has one.  Loves how it drives.  Hates the neverending repair bills.

I just saw a Consumer Reports article on the local news the other day of - worst cars.

200 was at the top.

Maybe try to look up the article before buying.

I have rented several, now I avoid them when I pick my rental car.

Your wallet will take a beating. Chrysler's are garbage. I was looking at buying a jeep a few years ago and a mechanic I was talking to gave me some advice. He said basically Jeeps were made by Chrysler and Chryslers are garbage.

It can't be as bad as the old Ford Contour or Tempo.

Of course that is sort of like saying a crossover can't be worse than the Pontiac Aztek, some nadir's are just too low to be matched.

I drove one as a rental for two weeks earlier this year.  Quality seemed average.  Don't expect it to be a Lexus or Acura.

My BIL and sister have one and it is junk. It stays in the garage more than on the road.

Stay away.

I just drove one as a rental for a week in the LA area. 15000 miles and I could feel the trans slipping so much it felt like a cvt.

3 or 4 days, drove OK.  It had a dial shifter, for Christ's sake.  A dial.

You'll become very familiar with the Chrysler emblem on the trunk lid.

Gotta look a something while you are pushing it.
(I hear FIAT is installing hand warmers on the trunk lid so Northerners don't freeze their hands on a cold day)

I've have a 200 as a rental a few times. I can't see why anyone would purchase one.  Maybe if it was half the price of a comparable Honda or toyota. Even then I'd still get the Honda.

Disposable car.  How many Chrysler cars are on the road after 4 years (besides Charger, 300, Challenger, Rams)?

Wife leased one. Fucking terrible car. Been in the shop 4 times in the 1st year. Twice it has locked up and left her on the side of the road. And there is no emergency neutral position. So when you car breaks down you can push it or tow it.....nope. to get it into neutral when broke one must remove the entire center console and then do some stuff under the car to get it to roll. Tow truck driver just had to flat bed it and drag it up on it.

I think the biggest issue is the transmission and the software that runs it. I think we are going to sue under Nebraskas Lemon laws because they are refusing to take it back.

Biggest POS in the world, have over 60 in our fleet, nearly everyone has had a new transmission in it before 20K miles. Electrical system issues up the ass.

Wouldn't take one if it was free.
