I am sure a lot of you got the email from ARF re: discounted propane conversion kits. Anyone ever use one? Would really like a propane generator for camp and don't want to buy a third generator (already have one at home and one at camp) just to get a propane one.
Anyone try it? Any good? Reliability and how hard are they to start? Or...should I just buy a dual fuel one and be done with it? |

Took about 10 minutes to install, runs great. Haven't really used the generator since Sandy though. It'll run on high and low pressure propane and natural gas as well as gasoline. This thread reminds me I need to get a battery for the generator and get it ready for the winter. |

Propane is the only way to go.
I've had a propane fed Generac standby gen set for about 15 years. One nice thing about them: Oil change intervals are much longer than a gas or diesel fueled engine. This is the only propane fueled engine I've ever owned and I LOVE it.
