So you say we evolved from ....whatever.
Did evolution just stop 2 or 3 hundred years ago? The history I know about and the time I've been here on this Earth I haven't seen any evolution. Strange, don't you think
Can't wait to hear the stories that others have seen or know to be fact in the past couple of centuries

Quoted:
Antibiotic resistant bacteria. /thread FPNI. If you haven't seen any evolution it's because you haven't been paying attention. Also, my God can take his time and create a universe in thirteen billion years. Yours slapped it together in a week. Mine is better. |
|
That was an intelligent thing to say. Apparently you got nothing |

Can't wait to hear the stories that others have seen or know to be fact in the past couple of centuries ![]() If the planet is billions of years old, then 2 hundred years would be equal to about a second of a day. Would people getting taller over the last three hundred years count? I've noticed a correlation between retarded posting and NRA memberships lately. |

Strange, don't you think ![]() Can't wait to hear the stories that others have seen or know to be fact in the past couple of centuries ![]() Probably because you don't understand evolution, and/or haven't been looking. All sorts of studies out there talking about evolution including antibiotic resistant bacteria. |

What is the next phase ![]() Quoted: Quoted: Antibiotic resistant bacteria. /thread That is NOT evolution ![]() We evolved from an ape supposedly. What is the next phase ![]() You can't say "i haven't seen evolution, because all the things that are evolution that are observable within a human lifetime aren't evolution". Furthermore, not only did we evolve from apes, we are apes. |

Guys....medicine is not evolution the evolution we are talking about. Tell me about the evolution of God's creation, ooooops, I meat evolution What? Bacteria developing resistances to medicine is a perfect example of evolution. One bacteria developed a resistance, and, while the other non-resistant bacteria died, the resistant one lived and reproduced, passing the trait on to future generations. Evolution of complex organisms takes place over thousands of generations. |

it takes millions of years. I would argue that humans are going to reach a rather significant stall in any sort of evolution due to our ability to control our environment. Rather than natural selection choosing our best traits to fit the environment we make the environment fit our traits. One might even say we are devolving, we allow the weak to succeed artificially and pass on their genes. One could even say we have evolved looking back 200 years humans are generally taller and stronger with sports records that would have been unthinkable being set although most attribute this to advances in diet and training... |

So nobody has anything, only insults and try to change the subject.people have posted about changes in both insects and bacteria that we can see and document... humans are a lot more complex and most like change takes a much longer time. but you say no one is answering the questions when in fact they are... |

Quoted: So nobody has anything, only insults and try to change the subject. Also look up ring species. And speciation events in mice. And speciation events of various plants. You just say "oh no, by a little bit of change, I don't mean a little bit of change, I mean a lot of change, so those examples of a little bit of change don't count, therefore I win." |

I cannot prove God exists if you choose not to believe it. All of CREATION will know God exists, and I believe soon Either you are convinced and believe, or aren't convinced and don't believe. There is no choice. No atheist chose to not believe in god. No atheist chose to 'reject' the message of god. |

You know - screw this. Troll post - reported. Not a troll post. I could have hijacked another thread that is happening right now but thought better of it. I just would like to hear about what is evolving right now and it seems no one has anything. Only general responses and no real meaty answers. |

What would qualify as rapracing's minimum standard for "at little bit of change"? Are we talking like a third thumb? |

What do you want, a third eye? It's not his fault that you don't understand how short a time 300 years is. What is an acceptable amount of evolution to you in 300 years? |
