As anti-establishment Republicans are gaining traction in the polls, Scott Walker is trying to establish himself as an outsider as well.

In a speech set to deliver in Minnesota on Tuesday, Walker will take on the GOP’s leaders in Congress.

“Republican leaders in Washington told us during the campaign last year that we needed a Republican Senate to repeal Obamacare,” the Wisconsin governor will say, according to excerpts of his remarks released by the campaign. “Well, Republicans have been in charge of both houses of Congress since January and there still isn’t a bill on the president’s desk to repeal Obamacare.”

Walker will say that he’s had to take on the establishment in his party before and that he told GOP lawmakers in Wisconsin, “It was put up or shut up time. If we didn’t do what we said we’d do, the voters would have every right to throw us out.”

Nothing is wrong with what he said.  It's only "pandering" because that loony tune Trump didn't say it.

While I am in no way happy with the GOP, what's the point of putting a bill on his desk to repeal Obamacare, he'll just veto it and there's not enough R votes to override.  Seems to me they'd have better things to do, none of which they're doing though.

I don't like trump, but he wouldn't be so popular if there wasn't atleast something to what he was saying.

For the first time in my life I have no clue which candidate to atleast tacitly support. I thought it was Trump, but that feels more and more like an ambush the more he talks. Add to that the absolute distrust I have for the establishment GOP and I don't mind Walker "pandering" one bit. It's not as bad as some of the others pandering for the immigration vote.

This election year is just one soggy shit sandwich, and we all have to take a bite. the only silver lining is the possibility of seeing Trumps security front snap kick some #BLM idiot in the chest when they try to bum rush the stage.

First Cruz, and now Walker embraces Trump's populism.  The rest of the GOPe, the DNC, and the MSM (well, and their toadies here in GD) are still trying, and failing, to tear him down.  There's a lesson here, ya dumb fucks.

And Glenn Beck is the stupidest of them all.

This is a bullshit thread title. You have no basis to call it "pandering."  If you do, let's hear it.

The reality is Walker has probably sacked up for and survived more than the rest of the field.  If you think a guy who told big labor to suck it and had to fend off the resulting recall planned to give Lindsay Graham foot rubs when elected I'm not sure what anyone could say that wouldn't be "pandering."

The man did put up when it was put up or shut up time; and they tried to throw him out. And now WI has a brighter financial future than a lot of its neighbors.

Trump can run his idiotic New york Cock holster, because he doesn't plan on finishing.

Rand has been told to STFU, and go away...and is doing so.

It's fucking pandering, pure and simple.  Were it not for Trump, Walker would be playing the safe GOPe game.

Oh, and he has no fucking chance.

What are you going to do when Trump "Trumps" himself?  You know it's coming.

This is your candidate?

That video is about as realistic as he is as a presidential candidate.

Walker, he's the college dropout, right?  A quitter.  I learned here on GD that quitters aren't to be elected.

Trump is serving a purpose, and quite well.

My candidate is anyone but Hillary.  This ain't football.

I'll agree that Trump is serving a purpose.  What that purpose is has yet to be decided.  He'll either clear out the Rhinos or he'll clear out the entire Republican field....Including himself.  He's not reliable and his current talking points are not ever going to happen.

They are only not going to happen because we, the voters, have put up with establishment pricks for far too long.

We've allowed ourselves to be corrupted by the fear of "anything but <insert dem>" rather than requiring the people we vote into office to actually be intelligent small government types.

And I don't get the BLM hate, especially when we spend way more on entitlements than all of the fed agencies (except the DOD) combined.  At least the BLM does something, whereas all the fucking assholes who get entitlements are being paid to do nothing.
