Oh, sure. I bet the NOW gang is dancing in the streets at having broken down yet another sexist barrier: that of being a POW in a foreign land.

You go girl! [rolleyes]

First since Clintion altered rule yes.

But there were two women taken prisoner in the first gulf war. One of them was also a truck driver, captured along with her partner from Saudi Arabia by a Iraqi patrol after the tank transporter they were driving broke down while shuttling equipment out for the western hook.

This current case was almost identical.

Maj Rhonda Cormun, flight surgeon, was captured when her SAR helo was shot down in Iraq near the end of the war.  She had two broken arms and was reported abused by captors.  Saw her relating her treatment on a CSpan show and she was a cool customer.  Married to a service person with 2 kids.

Didn't the freerepublic post a "news" story a while back about Hillary slapping some Marine guard for not carrying her luggage, or something like that?

Sorry, but the supposedly obvious Bill Clinton/Shoshawna Johnson connection is not on my hi-priority list right now.  Getting her and the rest of them out is.

I agree.  They should be in the rear, folding socks and making sanmmiches for the boys.

This is exactly the sort of thing that happens when the social reformers and other uplifters campaign for women's rights.  First they think they should be able to vote.  Then they think they deserve equitable pay.  And now they think they're good enough to fight for the freedom of others!

Is a woman President/Prime Minister far behind?
