range: 60-100'  day use primarily, some night likely

Break-ins back door and now front door,  would like several slow shots to catch vehicle incoming, hopefully license plates, and good enough pic to id person(s).    Can visit weekly, can attach to nearby foilage
above vehicle level.  weatherproof helpful, not lighted flases for night use desirable. battery operated necessary.

search: looking at a Primos truth cam, but not sure of the resolution for license plate id...

e-mail would be most welcome, as don't have daily access to computer.

Thanks

Check out Arlo.  My wife wanted a camera set up and I was too busy to get it done as quickly as she wanted so she went and ordered a 4-camera set.   Looks ok to me,  and seems simple enough that she can set it up herself. One less thing I have to deal with.

Seriously your first stop should be thegreyman's threads on security cameras in the safes and home security forum.

I have 5 Arlos, which is the max you can have on one station without buying a subscription. I like the convenience of not having to run wires. And the motion-triggered videos go right to the cloud so they can't be tampered with once inside the house.

Cool - thanks.  I didn't really investigate them too much, but not having to run wire was a definite plus so she can do it herself, and since optimal positioning might take some trial and error.

I have Arlos too, like em.  Would suggest good quality rechargables and charger and you get way more battery life then the batteries they come with.
