Bought myself a bluetooth audio adapter to hook up the laptop to my stereo.  Searched for it and successfully paired it, but when I try to view my bluetooth devices, my windows just sits and spins.

See image bleow...nothing happens no matter how long I wait...laptop simply won't display my bluetooth devices.

Any idea what I should do????  I seems to be something fucky going on in my Windows.  The audio adapter works fine...paired it with my phone and it works, no issues.  Laptop windows just shits the bed when I try to pull up my devices.

Update your pc's bluetooth driver and reboot.

Go to device manager and look to see if your bluetooth device is on and working properly.

No dice.

Also, I tried a few 'fixes' I found online...setting all my bluetooth services to automatic and starting them, and also rebooting in safe mode and then restarting again...nothin.

It's not only the bluetooth window, but the parent devices and printers window.  It pulls up in safe mode, but in regular mode...it just sits there and hangs.

I figured it out.  Corrupt user profile.  I switched to a guest profile and it works perfectly.  Now I guess tomorrow I get to go about figuring out how to fix my user profile, or create a new one and port everything over.  Wonderful.
