How much would a company charge to re-shingle about 200-250 sq feet of roof? Almost no pitch or slant or whatever you call it. And you can get a truck right up to the roof.

Just plain old shingles.

There is a deck I'm demo'ing that has a tin roof attached to the shingle roof with screws and 2x4's, from the previous owner. It may need to be re-shingled and I won't know until I get the deck taken off.

I got 2 quotes of 530ish bucks a square for 18 squares on a steep roof.

Small jobs take a lot of time per square, im guessing 600 bucks but i build dairies for a living.

If there is little to no pitch, shingles are not going to work for that roof.

Thanks. That would be affordable. Still hopefully it won't need to be done.

DIY in a couple of hours.  If there are no peaks or valleys or anything to worry about, a space that size is well within the grasp of even the unhandiest of homeowners.  You, Youtube and and afternoon could probably save yourself a thousand bucks.

I don't know the pitch. It is the asphalt squares? I just looked up the inspection and it is 3:12

I'd love to do it myself, but tomorrow is the last day of vacation, and I'm finishing up the very last of the demo of the deck from hell. After that I'm back at work for a 14 day stretch and won't be able to do it.

On a 3:12 roof, you're gonna have to ice and watershield the whole deck before the shingles go down.

edit: I just realized you meant roof decking.

My main concern is leaking into roof from all the holes they screwed into it when I pull off the tin parts. There is brand new shingle underneath it all, but maybe 30-40 screws and nails put into it from the tin roof piece.

I've been told it shouldn't leak and the tar or whatever should self seal. But in case it does I was curious what it would cost to reshingle

You can put down two plies of felt, but it's not as good.
