If you had a choice between going to maui to dive or carins(sp)/the great barrier reef, which would you choose if they were within a few hundred dollars of each other? I would especially like to here from the people that been there done that,but all opinions are welcome. |

GBR no contest. It's not that Maui sucks - some dives on Maui are okay, particularly Molokini crater, and there are some decent shore dives - it's just that GBR is world-class diving, and Maui is not. When are you going (if you go). We're going to Australia in June, both diving down south in Adelaide (leafy sea dragon country!!) but also GBR - so we'd love to hear what you decide to do and what you think. |

Thinking of going in the next couple of months. The wife really wants to see GBR, and we have been tossing it around for a while. When we looked it up, it was about the same price as going to maui depending on where you were willing to stay.She has been to maui before and always wanted to go back, but if the price is that close she is now stuck on the idea of going to Austraila. So I thought I would ask for input, now I know. Thanks, I guess GBR here we come. We are waiting to see how this stuff with Iraq is going to affect prices and such. |
