Fucking brilliant. Of course, I'm from Minneapolis and went to HS with Slim's daughter, so I might be a bit biased. Yeah, what a great music scene at the time. I spent a lot of time at First Avenue, they had some amazing bands playing lots of great local music. Hüsker Dü, Pleasure/Semisonic, and my favorite, The Gear Daddies. Our rival high school was where some members of Information Society came from. |

I'd put Shane Falco in the game. "Extra man on the field!" To Clifford Franklin the ball is like a cold. Clifford Franklin's the only one catching it. Clifford Franklin's the only one coming down with it. |

"Let It Be" and "Tim" we're two of my favorite albums. I saw them in Boston in the late eighties and, while they were great while they played, they were a train wreck on stage. I saw Westerberg 6-7 years ago at a small venue in Atlanta. The crowd could get right next to the edge of the stage. In the middle of the set he started beating the shit out of some guy in the front row with his guitar.

I can't find it, but somebody did a song about them.
It had a line something like this. "But when they were good, when they were good; God got up and danced." I don't know where I heard it. But it went something like this. The thing about The Replacements was that they weren't super popular and they didn't sell a whole lot of records, but everybody who bought the records went out and started a band. |
