People who like to pay an extra premium for their premium ice cream, because they like the fact that it's owned by hippies. ... which is especially hilarious because Ben & Jerry's has been owned by a giant multinational corporation for about 15 years now. Those two old hippies sold out, took the money, and ran long ago.

But id guess that as many people buying their ice cream buy it because it taste good as people who want to support their politics. Bottom line is the ice cream company is owned by Unilever, which is kind of the opposite of a socialists organization. |

Stupid marketing.
I enjoy ice cream, not because of political positioning, I enjoy ice cream because ice cream. And these fuckers politicized it. I'll be avoiding all their products from now on. When I'm eating ice cream, the last thing I want to think about is about anything fucken political. |

All I know is Ben and Jerry's is some of the best ice cream I've ever had, and political schtick aside, they treat their employees great, they support the military*, and frankly there's much worse companies we turn a blind eye to every day that are actually doing something aside from branding themselves as a bunch of hippies. *They donated pallets of ice cream to the 86th IBCT for a winter field training exercise I was at, and they keep the kitchen of the mountain warfare school stocked with ice cream. |
