If it's already in an LLC, why create a Trust? If you want to transfer it between entities, it will absolutely need to be on a F4, and if going between entities in different states, it will likely have to go through a C3 FFL. But it would be much simpler to just relocate the LLC - businesses move, it shouldn't be a big deal at all. Unless you did something silly like have your NFA stuff in a LLC that's used for other, non-gun things, and isn't controlled entirely by yourself. (ETA - Added clarity.) |

Right, so let them know. Why pay the tax twice? Quoted:

Wouldn't you just need to inform ATF of the move? or is that only for individuals? any change they need to know.. Right, so let them know. Why pay the tax twice? because the llc is staying in Oregon. I might be going else where.. Eh i might just leave it here and build a new one.. |

You should check with your new state about requirements for registering as a foreign entity if you're conducting business, but otherwise you are ok if the can remains in the state of the llc. You can f4 it if it's moving permanently. |
