| I went to a gokart track/arcade/mini golf place over the weekend and in the arcade they have a full size UN flag hanging from the ceiling (no US flag anywhere). My wife and I (and the other couple that was with us) all thought it was in pretty poor taste. I asked the guy behind the counter what was up with the UN flag and he said, "Huh? Whadya mean?" I guess he didn't know what the flag was so I pointed it out to him. I told him it wasn't very patriotic to display that flag especially in light of current events. He looked at me and said, "Oh well." His lack of concerm, patriotism, education kinda pissed me off. I was thinking about calling the newspaper or media and telling them about the shop owner that flies the UN flag. Do you think any of the media would care to exploit this guy's ignorance? or is it a wasted effort? |
