Holy hell, is there a more confusing tracking system? Why can't they just put "Out for Delivery" on the estimated delivery day that says its on time? Right now its just "Arrived at USPS post office" I usually don't have a problem with leaving packages at the front door but sometimes I don't like leaving expensive items there.

They have to scan it when it enters the post office. That way people know it passed through that facility.

ETA: How is that confusing...now you know it's at that particular post office...

USPS always lists "on-time." Even when they deliver a package beyond the expected delivery date, they just change it to the actual delivery date with no mention of the original expected delivery date or record of it changing.

USPS sucks.

I recently moved, and got a piece of mail today. It was dated 4/22/2015.

Works well, 95% of the time.  Occasionally, I get to watch a shipment 'disappear' for a couple days, or go visit relatives in the wrong direction for a day, or two.

USPS tracking is broken and unreliable.  I've seen shipments "delivered" that we never sent out, things showing in the wrong state, or things never being "delivered" even though they arrived weeks ago.  USPS sucks.

Right I know its in the facility. It says estimated delivery today, on time. But no "out for delivery" status.

Estimated delivery.

Not a guaranteed delivery. If you want a guarantee, use priority mail express.

Yeah. I'm tired of making a case when my shit says delivered and it's not there. And this is with a locked mailbox.

5 times since last year, and 1 was yesterday.
