I'd like to get a cannon ball that my uncle found while surveying.
What do you have. |

Potentially active cannonball, hope your life insurance will cover that type of incident. |

I would want to be certain it was deactivated. My grandad dug a post hole and buried 5 cannon balls several years ago after being warned and becoming afraid of them. Nothing like burying UXO, but my grandad was no better.....he kept shells in the basement, where kids use to investigate. I finally convinced him to donate to a historical society and let them determine if they could be made safe. |

| In my family we have an OLD photo album. It's small and leather with a date of 1865 on the spine. It has brass clasps that hold it shut. Inside are glass pics with family members in Confederate uniforms. I should get it someday. I'm not sure which side of my family it's from but it's still cool. |

I'm just saying you can cast a Minie ball and age it it's only lead that said my Father has one that's encased in acrylic (paperweight) from the 1970's or late 60's says from the Antietam Battlefield. could be a fake too, but I doubt it |

Rifles pistols ,bullet molds , cartridge boxes, cap boxes, cannon fusses, a bunch of fired and unfired rounds some still in wrap.
Some cannon balls and shells, a whole shitload of buck and ball and grape and cannon shot. Shell fragments . I still fire some of the guns once a year or so. |

This guy dug-up over 700 GA Pikes at a site where a CS munition train was burned....You just never know. http://metaldetectingforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=125714&stc=1&d=1321746632 http://metaldetectingforum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=125716&stc=1&d=1321746825 LOL...Looking at the guy's hat/hair it must have been a 80s era find. I think it was 1981. I ended up reading about it last night. Was pretty interesting and I learned the south used swords patterned after the Roman gladius sword, never knew that before.
