Reality shows not

They're just so telling watching the old episode of pawn stars. Rick the restorer we know now
has a brother. But back in 2009 they had his brother bring a Coke machine in and say it was in
his family forever. And then later on in the show they have Rick restore the machine.

So I googled some other known people. Richard from fast and loud he actually sold a
large printing and advertising company he had started. His net worth is over 20 million
before the show. Actually more than his rich friend. . And Aaron Kaufman his partner or
the guy that works on the cars actually doesn't work at the shop he has his own business
doing custom cars and just comes in for the taping of the show.

I guess it's TV wrestling

The gas monkey bar and Grill is a franchise he's started there's three more to be opened and he's
partners in it with two other very famous chefs that opened World class restaurants around the world.
And the music venue across the street he's actually in partners with Dodge their entertainment department.
Not hating on the guy I think it's fantastic that is getting these businesses going. I'm just commenting on how
the reality shows present stuff that may not actually be the way it is not real reality

While I believe that "Bob's bakery/custom cars/whorehouse" probably exists, I just assume that 99% of what is on a "reality" show is scripted and/or wildly exaggerated.

Airplane Repo is laughably scripted.  As pilots, we watch it and either laugh our asses off or cringe.
They had a taping in NE Texas a couple weeks ago, and 'repo'd' a sprayplane.  Problem is, the plane was flown to the field where they were taping it by it's owner, wasn't being repo'd at all, and then was flown back home when they were done filming it.
It's all for pretend, and the masses eat it up without any critical thinking.

That is somewhat depressing, though I'm not sure I could act as retarded as some of those people do even if I made that kind of money doing it.

You are confusing Aaron with Scott who left the show fairly early on. Also, your claim of having a net work of 20 mil before the show woudl eman he lost 5 mil in net worth since he opened the shop.

Do you have a source, for like..anything?

Shows are picked for the attention they would bring, the drama, etc.

She was clearly picked because they knew she would go bat shit crazy and that would be wonders for ratings.

Just like those jersey shore shit, they aren't just a random bunch of friends, each person was meticulously picked for the part that they are in in order to increase to maximum dramatic effect.

Its just like the fishing or logging shows, they have writers and scripts. Most of what you see isn't real. I remember a few years ago a camera guy or sound guy on a crew filming the logging reality show said whenever they had equipment break down or people fighting it was all faked, and once they filmed the scenes they scripted they would have them actually work and film for filler footage. Its amazing what you can make happen during a 60 minute show when you have 2 hours of scripted drama and 8 hours of filler stock footage to pull from.

I've seen people watch Operation Repo who never once suspected that it was all staged. Lots of people are dumb. They're probably people who are easily swayed by advertisements as well.  If I were a producer that's probably the market I would shoot for.

Shit sells.

I watched a few episodes of that while on a business trip and it was so bad.

The best/worst was when they "repo'd" a L-39. They said they needed a special military pilot to fly it out, so they got one. Who just happened to be the actual owner of the damn L-39 in the first place.

They're reality shows... Reality needs a script or it's just boring, everyday shit.  I have heard that the overwhelming majority of all the shows are recreations loosely based on past happenings.

It's like this if you've ever seen a TV commercial being made on the side of
the street. In the show you have to guys arguing in reality you have 15 people
standing around with lights umbrella reflectors Mic.s cameras producers and
technicians all surrounding the two people yelling at each other.

Am out back to boom beach .
