If you have not watched this show, shut up, get amazon prime and watch the first 2 seasons for free. Then, pay the $15 for season 3.
If you don't have amazon prime, do the try 30 days for free (just make sure you cancel before the renew date or you will be charged) By far my favorite show. Season 3 finale, oh lawd!!! |

Is it like Game of Thrones without boobs? So what you are saying is, more action and less plot? |

The first two seasons were great, but the 3rd I lost interest fast. The story lines just got too crazy. 2 and 3 were my favorite. I guess because of the drama and not knowing what's going to happen next or become of the "decisions". I loved the character development with Ragnar. You really see how his time as king has taking a toll on him. He's not the patient soft spoken guy anymore. |

Vikings: The original FSA Um, ......no. Unlike the FSA they didn't sit around asking for handouts. They'd fight for it and work for it. Also they traded and traveled from India to Newfoundland and from the arctic to Persia. They conquered territory, founded countries and revolutionized boat building techniques and travel. The Rus (norse tribe) founded moscow. (russians). Kiev was also founded by them. Scotland and England were under their rule at various points. They colonized Ireland. The first King of gretaer England, Cnut the great, was a viking. William the conqueror, from Normandy in France (North Men) was from that viking colony. Richard the lion-heart was a Norman King as well. Yeah, they are exactly like obamas FSA.....

You can defend those rapists, murderers, and thieves all you want. It doesn't change the fact that they were scumbags. I still root for Ragnar when watching the show though. |

I was asking myself why I liked them since all they did was sail around killing people and taking their shit. I guess that was just the order of the day back then though. Hell the kings and earls in England are doing it to each other too. That 1 bitch hired Ragnar to conquer her brother and uncle(?) |
| I dig it, I thought about them making a series on other badasses from history and thought maybe they should do one about the mongol hords, then I pictured lots of pissed off Asians killing the hell out of everything and thought..........nah. How do you add their dialogue and keep our interest? |

It talks of Ragnar but it does not contain the actual stories of Ragnar. It is more of an all encompassing history of the Viking as a people and the history of their expansion and eventual assimilation. It's really good if you are interested in that time of history. |

I've seen all three seasons but I wouldn't put it anywhere near GoT in terms of writing, directing, acting, or really any other facet. It's an okay show but kind of boring. You do realize that EVERYONE, the Slavs, The Saxons, the Celts the Moors and the Franks raided, raped and killed then as well? That was a fact of life back then. Well I guess that makes it ok then. It's not that it's "OK", it's was just part of history. |

No, but since the playing field is level you can't call any one single group scumbags simply for doing what was standard procedure back then. |
