mower for residential use only. Just a half acre lot, but I'm tired of pushing it. It looks best when pushed (Bermuda)  but im willing to give a little on looks to save time. Right now it takes me 1.5 to 2 hours to cut, trim, edge and blow. Hoping to knock 30 to 45 min off. I want to stay away from Home Depot or Lowes models if at all possible. Are there any brands that tear the turf up less than others??

We run walker exmark and ferris.   The ferris has the nicest ride. Buy once cry once. Good luck

Those 3 brands equal quality, even if you buy used.

If you have a dealer near you who sells any of those brands, you can inquire if they have any trade ins incoming.

Dixson, made/owned by Husqvarna (sp?). I was told they invented/made the first zero turn mower. Love mine.

Zero steer? Just buy a mower off Craigslist and weld the steering linkage in one position.

Zero turn for a half acre? That's a bit of overkill, just get a riding mower.

Dixon makes a great zero turn for smaller yards
