I have been persistently getting calls about furthering my education from 1-201-224-7220. They are trying to get info out of me.
They claim to be a company trying to further your education. I looked up the number online and they are also telling people that they are the IRS. So after calling them back a few times and blasting Pantera I called back and said " It's done but the blood is everywhere what do I do now" then I hung up lol. Anyone else have stories? Do me a favor and spam them as well! |

Due to taking care of an aged parent (who gives out the tele number at the drop of a hat), I'm deluged with marketing calls.
Some of them cannot hang up unless you use profane or inappropriate language, they might find me reading Genesis to them. Some say they are from Microsoft and my computer's causing problems on the web. I play along with them up to a part until they ask me what's on the screen and I read off, "It says here I might be having network connectivity problems. I just moved here two weeks ago and don't have a new ISP, can you help me with that?" Someone got my updated street address: 60 Forsyth St, SW Atlanta Ga (which is really the Federal Trade Commission) When I had Vonage and could forward numbers separately, a few got forwarded directly to my local Sheriff's Department. Some I just string along for as long as I can, I figure they make their money on conversions and the longer I keep them talking the less people they are going to be able to scam. My record so far is a 23 minute conversation - they hung up first :) And a few get to hear the juiciest, darkest, most NonPC sexual fantasies I can imagine. Oddly, the women usually last longer than the guys on that sort of call. Go figger. My only concern is not to say "Yes" or "No" or give any plain answer to anything. My understanding is that that answer can be spliced in so as to appear as to agree with whatever the scammer wants, so I always give noncommittal answers. |

Step 1: Put all your important numbers from anyone you know very well that you want to call you.
Step 2: Install Mr. Number on your phone. It will either hang up on, or send to voicemail, any number, any number combination, any area code, etc that you tell it to. |
