Yep, this is their new strategy. Can't pass shit federally so focusing on local government and initiative processes.
And the NRA is so obstinate and stuck in it's ways that when they choose to get more involved locally it will be too late. A lot of states don't have very stellar local gun rights groups. That's something we need to work to change. |

Then they say, "look, this is what the people really want!" "We need to do more!" They are thereby justifying their actions. Too bad the sheeple are just to stupid to recognize what is being shoved down their throat. FWIW, the convicted felons are cheering this one on, they don't go through the "system". Making it onerous for law abiding citizens to transfer a firearm is good for them. The Dems know who their voters are and that is why they removed the follow up requirement on failed background checks and killed the felon warning on our licenses. In Lane county is a moderate or conservative, but there is about 40% of the population here that will go along with any feel good bull shit that comes down the pike. The democrats have redistricted the area to be democrat heavy in the State house and Senate. It's bull shit. But Portland is way worse. Lane county was like 60% in the bag for Obama, Portland was like 80% |
