Thinking about picking up a Note 4 Edge tomorrow. Any of you guys/gals have one?  If so, how do you like it?

(Please don't discuses Apple phone's in this thread. This thread is for men who love pussy and women that prefer the D)

Seems pretty gimmicky, but I would have grabbed one instead of my note 4 if they were in stock locally.
The curved screen tech is neat, I hope it takes off.

I don't really understand why that would be better than a traditional screen.

Agreed, it's gonna be hard on case makers too

I don't get the appeal of the edge. I can get the same app launcher thingy on my regular note and I never use it.

I asked the guy at the verizon store how customers like it.  He said most of them didn't like it at all.  They were constantly hitting the edge buttons by accident.  I picked it up and realized you'll have to learn to hold a phone differently by default and the angle gave a weird prism effect that keeps the screen from being clear.

I would not fo.

the edge is probably indicitive of the future, while being a gimmick right now.

I was interested in it but there were none in stock and only one  regular Note 4 in town so that is what I got.

I really wanted to get the Edge, but Verizon only offered them in black, was waiting for the white... but I've waited so long I'm just going to wait til the Note 5 comes out.

I'm a huge galaxy note fan--the Note 2 may have been the best phone ever invented.  (When my wife upgraded from the Note 2 to the 3, I didn't upgrade because I liked -- and still do-- the 2 better.)

I decided to upgrade to the 4, and checked out the 4 Edge at the time.

First, I could see hitting the icons on the 'edge' by accident constantly.

Second, seems like the screen design of the edge would be more prone to breaking.

Third, just why?

All that said, I now love the Note 4--great phone.

You guys bring up a few good points about the side bar. If hitting the buttons by accident becomes a problem, I can hide the buttons and just show the clock there. I could still "swipe" up to see the buttons.

The rubber and hard case's replace the stock rear cover and snap on to the back of the phone since they can't grab the right side of the phone.

This is the case/cover I'm looking at. I like the fact that I can see the time and read incoming text while the cover is closed without touching the phone. You can also answer and talk without opening the cover.

I've had a Nexus for almost 3½ years. Battery is still holding up great but the OS is long in the tooth. It still looked new till about 3 months ago when I dropped it and shattered the screen. I put clear packing tape over the screen to keep the glass from falling out.

Anyway, the tape is getting scratched up. I can't remove the tape without pulling big chunks of glass out, so time has come for a new one.

I can see the idea of the side edge of the screen is a good idea on paper.  After reading complaints, I see the con of it too.

All depends on what you want out of the case.  Looks like that doesn't provide much in the way of impact protection, none at all on that edge.  Mostly to protect in in your pocket.

That would probably be blocked by the heavy impact protection cases.  All lies in what you want.

I have the Note 3, great phone and the 4 looks even better.  After having it a year, it kinda looks small to me.
