Becoming an Easter tradition for me. They don't make movies like that anymore.

Ben Hur has been a traditional Easter movie for my family for many years. In fact it was a favorite of mine before I was married.
Its a great film and as you say, they don't make them like that anymore. My wife reminded me today that I need to put it in the DVD player tonight or tomorrow.

I own the dvd and in my opinion, It is by far, the greatest movie of all time!! I watched it in the theater with my Mother when it was first released. I was 7 yrs. old. It still brings goose bumps to me each and every time I watch it just for that reason!! I think Heston is the GREATEST actor! He played some of the most influential rolls ,ie.. Ben Hur, Moses and EL CID!
Besides, He was the NRA president for years and has/had one of the most impressive collections of firearms I've ever seen! |

I remember sitting on the Theater, watching the Trailers, waiting for the Feature to start when I saw this minus the subtitles.
I swear that the way this Trailer has been edited is better than many Major Pictures released today. The way the sound alone goes from scene to scene, fadeaway's and merges to the next clip, is purely Top Notch. If I could have gone to see it in the theater them, I surely would have. But it never came close to where I could go see it.
