Probably a better reaction than I would have had, which no doubt would've involved a mixture of shock, an uncomfortably long man hug and unrestrained blubbering about him being my childhood hero.

lol, as much of a Raider fan as I am...and as great a MNF game as that hawks vs raiders game was...it's comical to me how much mileage people have got out of "he ran over bosworth!!!!" play. A LOT of backs would have scored on that play. Bo (and many others) could have just angled for the sidelines and scored easily. A lot of power backs could have given the Boz the shoulder and still scored...but for some reason people shit themselves over that play. It's a good run, don't get me wrong, but Bo had at least 6-8 that were much more impressive than that.

Also, someone needs to gif "the throw" where he nails that dude at the plate from the track...no relay, and no bouncing ball. Dude threw a damn bullet. Might be the most impressive outfielder throw of all time.

I was about 60ft from him at right field at the new Comisky Park.

Who remembers Bo being unstoppable in Tecmo Bowl?

When I Googled "Tecmo Bowl" I found that someone has posted an online emulator of it

I remember watching that throw on baseball tonight the day it happened. Yep, from the warning track to the plate, no hop, straight to the catchers glove. Unbelievable.

in all fairness to Boz, his body was broken before he ever made it to the pro's. back then I don't think they had the technology to medically screen players that they have today.

I still think he was from outer space.

Nothing that big moved like he did with grace and totally natural movement.

Barry Saunders and Walter Payton could move like that but neither were anywhere near as big as he was.

When I was a kid I loved both Jackson...but he frustrated me too. He was a "decent" baseball player but he could have been one of the best football players of all time. Since I was waaaay more of a football fan it annoyed me that he only did it part time after he was done with baseball. When he was on the field it was awesome though. Very very rare speed for his size.
