Been a decade at least since I've bought tickets for anything...been to hundreds of shows back in the day, but anymore I just can't deal with the hordes of people.
Anyway, a female friend is wanting me to go to a RUSH concert with her....really have zero interest in going, but.... In any case, been trying to hunt down tickets for the last several weeks and the prices Im seeing are ...
Basically seats without any kind of decent view start at $90.00, seats with a front view of the stage but are a mile away start in the mid $100.00's ![]()

Rush has been playing arenas for decades. Why do you think their asking price is ? Sticker shock...seriously...i havent bought arena tickets for anyway for a decade or more, really having trouble getting over the fact that upper level seats with a side/rear stage view are starting at 90 bucks. |

A female at a Rush concert? My B.S. meter is twitching......... actually shes a huge Rush fan...I've known her since high school, we used to go to dead shows and rush shows together and recently reconnected through a mutual friend. I also know a much, much younger (early 20's tops) girl who is a huge Rush fan..she actually has tatoos of the Counterparts album symbolism...when i was cleaning house i ended up giving her a bunch of my vintage rush posters. |

Quoted: $100 for a ticket to anything in 2015 is approaching free. We still keep our ticket prices pretty reasonable. I was looking at the calendar for someone ARFCOM might recognize, and saw Steve Earle for $36-$58, all fees included. We hold a little over 1000. There are tons of smaller shows that can be seen without breaking the bank. Not saying that I wouldn't go to another arena concert, but I haven't been to one in ages due to all the other options. |

Perhaps ticket prices are too high. Perhaps not.The first concert I paid to see was in 1979. It was The Cars. The price was $20.00. That's about $70.00 today. Regardless, I refuse to pay top tier prices for 40 - 50 year old bands that have not been relevant in over 25 years. |

I know what you mean. I went to Led Zepplin in the 70's at their peak and paid $6.50 for tickets. I can't afford ticket prices now....Or should I say.. I will not pay for ticket prices today! Yep. Saw Led Zeppelin in 1975, Market Square Arena, Indianapolis. $8.50 for floor seats. Those were the days. |
