Crazy and full of herself, but still an awesome voice. When your entire band leaves and forms a new band without you, chances are you are the problem. Yep. Her voice made Evanescence the band they were. While her crazy made them a band that is no more. It's a shame as I really liked their music. |

She DOES have an awesome voice...On the CD.
If you'd ever heard her live you'd realize how much the production modifies and improves her voice on recorded music...I love the recordings of her voice. HOWEVER and sadly: I have seen her live on four separate occasions, and Live she sounds like a howler monkey with it's balls caught in a meat grinder while dragging it's nails across a chalkboard and opening a door with rusty hinges. It's truly a caterwauling off key bloodcurdling sound sound that is beyond awful that you just want to stop. I literally took and used military grade earplugs for the last two shows. Which is sad, because she's a very cute and extremely nice person. |

Voice is spectacular...but then so was Tarja and she almost killed a band also.
Personally I prefer Charlotte from Delain and Sharon from Within Temptation and also Sabine from Edenbridge. If someone had told me 30 years ago I was into female-fronted-symphonic-rock-groups I would have hit them...but they were right. The Tarja ejection had to be one of the more epic splits of this genre. Well that's...ugly...and bada$$! |
