| I always hear people sing the praises of the Colt and Bushmaster AR-15, how come I never hear anyone ever talk about Armalite? Doesn't the AR in AR-15 stand for ARmalite? |

Quoted: Very nice fit and finish to their rifles, and at what they cost, those things should be good. There are some dealers that have some pretty good prices on some models, but their National Match rifle price can't compete with comparable Rock River's. I checked out their prices and you got that right. I was a bit shocked at their prices. Thought they would lower and competitive. |

Yo, Mr_Mullen, whereyoubeen? For the past two years I've been here, every few weeks it's a new thread at ARFKOM on "Which is best: Armalite, Bushy or Colt?" I prefer Armalite. I own an M15A2(Mmmm....Green Furniture!) but the next one will be an AR10B{Mmmmmm.....Brown Furniture- and a toaster!!), when I get the money.... And then I'll buy a Bushmaster. They're good, too. You can't go wrong with either. |
| M15A4 with green furniture. World class hardware! I did some shopping and found it for just $20 more then what comparable BM were going for at the time. It had a small blemish on the finish of the barrel, so I asked if they would take $20 off, and they did. BM and RRA make damn good rifles too. Colt made 'em with non standard parts, and for me that is enough to remove them from my list. The Colt's are well made, but not any better then Armalite, BM, or RRA. |

Quoted: Wow, did not know there were Armalite owners. I was a bit clueless about this company, in fact, I even commented to someone I thought they were not in business. I thought they sold the rights of the AR and got out of the gun business. Mr_Mullen, get thee to www.armalite.com. All will be explained there. [:)] |

Original ArmaLite company: Sterling AR180 Howa AR180 (LNINB,unfired except factory) Costa Mesa AR180 (ditto) Eagle Arms (before they became ArmaLite) Preban A2 rifle Preban A2 carbine Preban A4 carbine Preban A2 carbine (NIB, unfired except factory) All have chrome lined barrels. The rifle and A4 carbine done by someone else, the two A2 carbines both were released from the factory within the last 3 years and I had the chrome lined barrels and A2 flash suppressor put on, as opposed to the 4.33 pinned on flash suppressor and chrome moly. Current ArmaLite (formerly Eagle Arms) M15A2 rifle M15A2 carbine AR180B Love 'em. Won't have anything else. |
