I can get a 2" lift kit for my 09 F150? I've looked around and all I fucking see are goddamn leveling kits. I don't want a fucking leveling kit.

it is a leveling kit.

a leveling kit puts a spacer on top of the coil over raising it 1-2.5" depending on the kit.  It is a suspension lift.  Then if you like you can use blocks or AAl in the rear to correct the ride hight

the lowest suspension lift for a 4x4 f-150 your going to find is 4" and they run around 1400$

a 2" combination front and rear kit you can probably get for 2-400$

edit: i run a 2.5" front and 1.5" out back and i run 35x12.50's on my 05' f-150

You need to go to 4" then.
If got a leveling kit on my '10 F-150 looks much better.

I'm trying to keep everything proportionate. I want enough but not too much. I'm just looking for a little more ground clearance.

A number of people on f150 forum say you don't want to do a leveling kit as it fucks with vehicle geometry and handling characteristics. I also plan on putting in a rear sway bar.

tires get you more ground clearance, suspension lifts make more room for bigger tires.

your axle is in the same place

but they are full of shit, i have run my 2.5" level for years(since 09) with no issues.  DO NOT GO OVER 2.5", then you start pushing geometry.  It seems the happy medium is about 2" on a leveling kit.  Another option wich functions the same as a level is to use coil overs, rancho i believe makes an adjustable set.

I have the Rancho Quicklift front coilovers with the rear shocks on my 04 4x4.  It definitely caused issued with the geometry and I had to put a camber adjustment kit on the front.

Be sure to do this along with an alignment, and you'll be good to go.

That's actually what I'm going for height wise and tire wise.
