| I have a 32.3 and was thinking of either getting a 19.4 or a conversion barrel. How are they as far as reliability is concerned? Any problems? I want to save the $300 for ammo and mags if I can just get a $130 conversion barrel |

detail overload I presume he's got a Glock 32 (third Gen) and wants to put a Glock 9mm bbl on it (vs. buying a Glock 19 fourth gen). Lone wolf (with a quick google search) says that the .40/.357 slides and conversion bbls are thicker (therefore heavier), so lower powered 9mm may not work the slide with enough force to ensure ejection. |

Would people quit this 19.3 19.4 23.4 thing already? I literally saw it for the first time yesterday and it already annoys me. You mean a Glock 32 gen 3?
Sorry for the hi-jack, pistols designed for the caliber of their intended purpose will generally be more reliable. That said I know folks that have had good reliability with conversion barrels. If I were using it for defense, go ahead and get the new gun. |

If it wasn't for one of the replies explaining it, I still would have no clue. |

The barrel isn't your reliability issue. The caliber conversions have the same exterior size as the original barrel, and the recoil assembly is the same across similar size guns (although maybe 10mm is different, but .357 sig, .40 sw and 9mm are all the same). However, there are differences in the extractors. I haven't see a caliber conversion gun fail to extract any more than any other Glock, but it is important to keep in mind that they are shaped differently. Although you could swap the ejectors easily. |

I've got 2 conversion barrels for G23 and 1 for G22. They work 100%. I do not change to 9mm extractors or ejectors when I use them. |

I have a G22 40/9mm conversion barrel that is more reliable than the factory barrel with Wolf 9mm ammo. When shooting with the factory barrel, the extractor would tear through the rim every hundred rounds or so, never happened with the LW. I did not change anything but the barrel in my G-31 (unless shooting .22). Went back and forth (.357, .40 and 9mm) with no issues. |

This is what you are worried about
OP the LW barrel do have a reputation of being pretty reliable but until you run your pistol with the conversion. Consider also getting a 9mm ejector and extractor this will help increase reliability. Next time you should post this in Glock forum so the haters do not hate. |
