I saw this the other day in the reloading section.

Does anyone actually have any experience with it?

Seems like the time involved wouldn't be worth the end result.

How would you fix the firing pin mark in the used brass?

The picture shows you have a tool that you use to push it out. Kinda like dents in a car door.

You haven't kept all your 22 brass?

For shame!

Ha! $150 for a .22lr reloader?!?

It can be done, but sure doesn't seem like it would be economical. I used to work with a british guy who claimed he reloaded .22lr back home, but it was a long process and not worth it.

I've reloaded primers and used them in .38spl, so it's possible, but a long PITA process.

Good to know if SHTF I suppose....... Last resort stuff.

I would just load pellets into .223 cases way before I reloaded .22lr.

It would be way faster and way cheaper I bet.

I reloaded some years ago using the tips from strike anywhere matches for the primer. I was using them in a Single Six and I just indexed the case where the firing pin would strike the undented part of the case.

I like this idea better, I think I might pick one up to play around with.

Not that I ever chrono'ed it but I used to put a wax wad in spent 9mm brass and only a primer. Would punch through cardboard.

I haven't tried it personally, but I think I remember reading that you can either load them with just the pellet for super qiet shooting or add maybe 1 or 2 gr of powder for pellet gun speeds.

You can either drill out a case to accept shotgun primers and reload it, or just load them conventionally into each individual case.

I only have 177 pellets, but might be worth picking up some 22 pellets to try out.

While I don't want to be posting information that could possibly blow somebodies fingernail off, and thus holding either myself or this site responsible. I will give you a hint.

The article that got me interested was in the July/August edition of Backwoods magazine.

A search of the backwoods magazine website looks like there was no July/August issue in 2014. Can you give us the issue number please?

TIA.

I don't expect that

Just a review of was it worth it? Time it took? Were the loads ok? Did they shoot ok? Stuff like that.

Hey, at .7 - .10 cents a round it's almost a steal!
