Been doing some super sets = 1 mile run, 8 sets of workout - x3....  This week started some C4.  Noticed some bloating, burping, upset stomach issues around set 2 on the tread mill.... Overall I feel pretty different - hard to explain...not sure I like the stuff or not.  Does it take time to get used to??  Never tried preworkout before.

I stopped using C4, the caffeine messed with me.

Muscle Pharm Assault is my go-to pre-workout mix now

The good pre work outs are all banned now. In the good oll days you picked a pre work out by the number of confirmed kills it had.

Hmm. I stopped using MP ASSault because it gave me the shits. BAD.
Switched to C4 and love the stuff.

I don't like it for cardio either. Lifting is fine but cardio works better for me without it.

Lol.  I am not a body builder, bros....  Trying to get into shape for ATV racing...need some cardio and weight training...  Not trying to "gain" or "swole bro"....  Trying to loose some titties and get me fat old arse into shape...

Then you don't need preworkout. A cup of coffee should be enough of a jolt.

I also don't like pre-workout before cardio, feels funny in my stomach. Save that for heavy lifting.

In a perfect world, we'd all eat regular, planned meals, get proper sleep at night, and hit the heavy lifts at the ideal energy peaks around 9AM and 3PM.

In the real world where jobs and shit get in the way, the caffeine can help you get motivated to work out when it's 8PM, you're tired, and you just want to be a bum.


Sometimes I'll hit a shot of espresso 10 minutes before a workout, and while it's probably completely mental, it does help.

Never tried C4. Just stay away from NO Xplode...

I use White Flood now. I feel zero negative effects.

I had some stomach issues with c4 before cardio as well,  but I quit doing cardio and everything is good now.

You may be sensitive to creatine.  It messes with a lot of people's digestion (even the newer, more tolerable forms).  Also, you don't really get "used" to pres in a good way.  You just build up a tolerance, they stop working, and you probably get adrenal fatigue.  That is part of the reason they recommend cycling them.

After taking Ultimate Orange back in the day nothing compares. C4 gave me the trots. The Muscle pharm stuff gave me gas so I just down a red bull and do work lol

Smh. All this pre-workout, post-workout, no2, ect ect. Are just gimmicks to take your money out of your wallet.



The only thing that is proven, is to eat healthy and plentiful, drink lots of water, and get plenty of of sleep.

I'm usually pretty damn tired by the time I head to the gym. A little C4 takes the edge off the fatigue and makes the gym seem more tolerable. Aside from making my ears itch a little sometimes, no side effects as far as I can tell.

C4 worked great for me,  I didn't take it on cardio days though as it has the potential to make your heart implode

No not seriously...but I really didn't take it on cardio days. C4 did make me gassy but that seemed to wear off after a week or 2.

Lol we had a guy decide to try a double dose of it right before a PT test. Pushups and situps were great, but he got 1/4 mile into the run and started puking like an exorcism. It was glorious.

Don't do cardio with a pre-workout.

On the other hand, I have been known to do a bump or two of C4 when the wife is feeling frisky. Good stuff

I don't know what it is about c4, but every time I took it I HAD to take a dump. It gets a little scary when you figure that out while you're squatting. Other than that I liked it.

Ultimate orange was the best...mixed with some lemon lime Gatorade and it tasted like an orange creamsicle.
It was banned but there are other makers out there trying to replicate.

I was doing 2 scoops of Assault in the afternoon/evening and 2 cups of coffee in the AM. This led...I think...to high blood pressure.

Since dropping coffee altogether and only 1 scoop of preworkout my blood pressure has gotten better.

I alternate C4 and Shatter. I don't get the jittery tingliness anymore but with just 1 scoop it feels more natural.

So. Just don't overdo it.

C4 is not meant for longer cardio.  At most I will sprint a mile prior to lifting while taking a preworkout, and even thats pushing a crash.

What I have found to work for cardio is optimum nutritions amino energy.   No jitters, no crash, solid with just cardio sessions.

Thats almost any preworkout...or coffee.  I go to the gum around 0600 so i get up at take preworkout 30 minutes earlier.

Jack3d. no doubt! One day downrange, in preparation for leg day, my battle and I took 3 scoops of that shit and allowed 20 minutes for it to work. Just as soon as the stingly-tinglies set it we heard the tell-tale "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFBOOOOM!" of an RPG screaming in. Followed by another. And another. Then the PKMs started. Natural adrenaline plus the 3 scoops = best fucking firefight ever! I felt like this.
