| Walked in Wal-Mart and 5 boxes of .22 lr (225 rounds Remington Golden) were on the shelf for $11 each. Not my favorite ammo but the price was a lot closer to normal than I have seen in a while. I bought 3 and left 2 for the next fella. Wife was with me so I could have bought all 5. |

I posted this in the Federal 550 thread, here it is again.
It doesn't pop up very often, maybe once every 2 weeks at most Walmarts. Here's how to get it: Put Swire's app as a favorite on your phone or home computer. Here is the link: http://arfcomammo.azurewebsites.net/WM_ByStore.aspx You'll need to Google the store numbers for 1-4 Walmarts in your area. Enter them on Swire's app. Check the "22" box on the app, hit enter, and the app will tell you whether or not the stores whose numbers you entered have 22lr. If they do, there will be a picture of the product in stock. If they don't there will be nothing. Now then, most Walmarts receive their shipments in the evening and put the ammo out at 7am or 8am the next morning. So you should dilligently run a check on Swire's app every night before bed. You might check it for 2 weeks straight and see nothing, but then one night you'll check it and it will display some 22lr that is in stock. That's when you need to get your ass out of bed early and get to Walmart by 7am or whatever time your store puts out the ammo (ask the manager so you'll know ahead of time). Pain in the ass? Kinda. But if you do this one time successfully, you can buy 3 bricks and have enough to shoot for quite a while. If some mouthbreathing, knuckle dragging, basement dwelling, two-bit neckbeards can figure this out, so can you. |
