I posted this in the Class 3 section, but I figured I would get a quicker response here. My trust was finalized today and my application for a Form 1 (SBR) is complete. Should I submit it now or should I wait a day after the trust was finalized (to avoid any confusion about whether the Form 1 was submitted before the trust was finalized)?

Anyone?

Go ahead and submit. You need the valid trust attached. That would be kind of hard to do if it wasn't finalized at the time of submission.

Sounds good. It was finalized earlier in the day. Thanks for the response!

Had another question. I noticed on the submitted PDF form that my title (trustee) was not next to my printed name on the bottom of the form. Is this an issue?

UPDATE: Called NFA Branch, and they said what will likely happen is that the application will be disapproved when they get to it, and I'll have to resubmit all over again.

They told me to use the Ask The Experts function; hopefully they'll give me better news.

You can still upload files while it is in Submitted status.
Just upload a new page with the correct information.

How would I submit the corrected Form 1 since it's generated by the eFile system?

Ah, I misunderstood your issue.
I thought the title was missing from your certification of trust page.
I just checked my own form that is in process and I did the same thing.

Here is what I found in the Class 3 forum regarding this issue.
ETA 7/13/14: For clarification...you register as an individual that will represent the entity, using your name. You don't register as the entity itself. You will use the trust/corp name as the Licensee/Permitee (you'll see this in detail on a later screenshot).

If you have already registered, you can still add a title if you choose. Simply log into EFORMS and go to the My Profile tab at the top. Then look at User Information. The Title field is right below your name.

Notice that on both the Registration page and the User Information page there is not an asterisk next to the Title field. It is not required. Just like your middle initial isn't required. The trust you submit will have your name listed as Trustee. I've yet to see anybody post that they were denied because of Trustee not being present. Quite a few posted success with the Title field blank. I think it's a non-issue, but I wanted to point it out in case you wanted to use that field.

Thanks for the response. I emailed them and got this response:

It won’t be an issue as long as your name is in the trust.  That field is populated by what you entered in the My Profile function upon registration.

Does that mean as long as my name (listed as a trustee) is in the body of the uploaded trust document that I'll be okay? I'm not sure what to make of this response.

Yes, that's what it means.
Essentially, as long as you are authorized to add items to the trust, it will not be an issue.

I submitted mine a few hours after my trust got notarized. Go ahead and get that sucker in line.
