If so, to what degree do you think it is? Do you think they just favor certain teams or decide far in advance who will win the Super Bowl?

An awful large amount of money gets bet on every game, that tends to lead to corruption,  Not fixed per se, but it definitely has shenanigans going on behind the scenes.

If there was honest to god game fixing...

Reply and ambiguous rules are as close as they can get

They need to seriously take the refs out of the game

when you watch a game such as the green bay - seattle game. I have to say yes. When you watch the ludicris shit that happens in a game you can only draw 1 conclusion. The NFL decides who is going to win the Superbowl before the season even starts.

how else did you think haliburton's weather machine and HAARP keep their edge when they aren't making hurricanes and earth quakes? The answer, they affect the the trajectory of both passes and field goals, I am sure you have seen a game winning field goal turn into the goal right at the end and go in. What you think did that in a dome? It wasn't the wind and we all know ovals don't curve like a sphere.

I think the NFL has biases, and I think they sometimes let the refs know what they'd like to happen, but there's only so much the refs can do without being completely obvious about it, so good enough or bad enough play can still make the outcome go against what the NFL head office would prefer.

[#24]
I think there are some players that can get the benefit of the doubt from the refs more so than others.

Like Dez not getting the "football move" judgement. If it were Gronk, I have no Doubt the Cowboys would at least have had the ball on the 1 yard line or a TD.

Pass interference calls or no calls are the easiest way for refs to help or hinder momentum.  Don't think it is scripted or anything though.

What examples can you cite from that game suggested a fix?  Surely not in favor of Seattle, they got called for a ton of fouls that weren't similarly called on GB. The very last touchdown was clearly Pass Interference. That Keasre came down the ball anyway is irrelevant, the flag should have been throw.

I don't think Seattle got called for fouls they didn't commit, but GB did not called for the fouls they did. One sack on Wilson showed a clear facemask infraction.....

Yep and it would be redundant and obvious.

A 45 yard PI on third and 10 would put a team at worst in field goal range with one flag alone. I am not saying it's whats going on but.... I have seen stuff like that happen.

Or the good old -late flag for holding (away from the play) that comes out after the RB breaks one to the house.

Their is a reason after every pass play broken up both the receiver and defender look around for the flag after the play.

In my brief time I never saw or heard anything that would even imply fixing at the team level,  that does not say certain key players don't shave points or throw games to benefit themselves, or others, but at the team levels I don't think it's fixed.

Really? Is it?

One or two blown pivotal calls by the refs? A missed field goal or two?

How hard would it be to pay a bad player to underperform? If you knew you were likely to not get a contract the next year, and had no degree, life or job skills, would you miss a block or two on key third downs for a few million?

It's all been done before in baseball, boxing, racing, and most any sport. To believe it doesn't happen at all in the NFL is naive. Especially when two head coaches have been in trouble for cheating lately.

As has already been mentioned, someone is holding on every play, and pass interference on most plays. The refs choose when to call it. It may not be scripted like the WWE, but there is certainly some schenanighans going on.

Yes, it's rigged.  The more money involved in a sport, the more it's fixed.

There is a truck driver at work who used to haul the racecar for a well-known NASCAR driver from track-to-track, as well as being the jackman on the pit crew.  He's told me of quite a few stories of money changing hands in the drivers meetings, in the garage, etc...

It really only takes one corner back to throw the game. Go into a man to man defense, make sure the qb knows it, he'll call an audible and then the CB just has to let the receiver get a few steps on him and it's TD city. Have the safety in on it too and it's too easy.

how about the fact that Russell had a 10% rating for the 1st half with 3 interceptions. Down by 16, now all of a sudden he can't miss a pass, even the little floating pass ( that everyone knows he does).
Then the onside kick that hits green bay in the face that seattle recovers and scores, then the across the field floating pass that Clinton- dix doesn't even try for, BUT it is caught for a 2 point conversion.

Mark my words, Seattle will win the superbowl again this year, just so there is another back to back championship.
