when you guys buy kit |
A guy I bought some stuff from said I see your feedback so I'll ship early, already got the stuff from WA to MI, and he has not seen M.O. yet. He is not uptight, but I am I don't want anyone to ever think I'm FSA. Sent m.o. Monday am first thing. Did I mention how reprehensible this site is?

He is not uptight, but I am I don't want anyone to ever think I'm FSA. Sent m.o. Monday am first thing. Did I mention how reprehensible this site is?My 1st ever purchase on the EE happened that way. I was puckered up tight and eventually had to send a second one. thankfully the seller was an easy-going guy. I want to say the envelope showed up months later with the now-canceled MO. I now use tracking on my MOs. The peace of mind is worth the additional .50 or whatever it is. |
I've only had one instance on the EE or any other forum for that matter, where the money order didn't arrive (probably around $20.00). It was in a deal with a member here who probably has close to 900 positive feedbacks. I told him after more than a week went by that it never arrived and he immediately sent another one (no drama, no bitching). This guy is as solid as it gets. I actually felt bad about it because I know his reputation in the EE and I had already dealt with him prior to that, but I guess that in this instance payment actually did get lost in the mail. That first MO never did arrive.

I guess you can call me anal because I like to type and print out a short note with the terms of the sale and my contact info and put it and a USPS MO in a Priority Flat Rate envelope. I like the Flat Rate envelopes because they're free and they are made from hard cardboard that isn't see through plus I get a tracking number that I can give the seller. Makes both parties feel good during the wait for the payment to arrive.
I buy the postage online and print the label. $5.05 is a small price to pay. |

Hmm... paypal gift, usually. About as secure as a MO, and no mailing necessary. Sending a gift, when it is not, leaves you no recourse if the deal goes south. Neither does a money order that conveniently gets "lost" in the mail, which has happened multiple time to me before. I don't mess with money orders. Paypal only, and that has never been a problem for any of the deals I've made. |

Disagree, you can do everything with Priority right from your computer that you can with registered except the return receipt, and the cost is much lower. Quoted:

Registered mail is best mail. Disagree, you can do everything with Priority right from your computer that you can with registered except the return receipt, and the cost is much lower. Registered is kept in an accountable cage at the Po, signed out by the carrier and logged, then kept separate from the carriers other mail. It's much more secure, close second is express mail. |

I'm about to sell some things on EE (first time). Am I allowed to state that I will only sell to team members or members with positive feedback?
So the USPS MO is probably the best route for payment. Protects everyone? I really don't trust paypal transactions after selling an item on ebay once. Got screwed. |

Murphy's Law, it will get lost. It's a pain to wait 60 days to get a replacement. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
| I hate mailing those, even though I've already spent thousands that way. Wish the USPS had an electronic MO system - after you pay, they give you the receipt with some special code/label/etc, you email/text that to your seller and they cash it by presenting that to their nearest USPS, who verifies that code/etc. |

This right here, especially if the amount is over $50. |

USPS money order is all I accept here. When I ship out merchandise I send it first class with tracking number. If more sellers did this we would have way less problems in feedback threads IMHO. M.O.'s cause more problems than any other form of payment. No recourse for the buyer whatsoever. i do pay with M.O. but only to people with higher feedback than me. |

As far as payment, just selling here on the EE, if you just deal with team members or guys with good feedback I wouldn't worry about using PP. I've taken PP for payment for a lot of stuff here and never had a problem. |
