I love the SSA-E I have in my precision AR and am looking to upgrade the trigger in my SBR.  I have never tried one and am not sure if I should get a straight blade trigger.  What do you guys think?  Right now I am debating between the SSA, SSA-E, SD-C, and the SD-E.  I am leaning towards either the SSA or the SD-C.

I use it for blasting shit at the range, deer hunting, and HD.  Mostly between 10-100yds and occasionally out to 300.

Geissele trigger models.

They can give the feel of an even lighter trigger, from leverage. One draw back for me came from the lack of feel for where my finger was on the trigger, which I get from the curve. I could imagine inconsistent trigger pulls from it.

I was skeptical at first, but after trying out the SD3G, SD-E, and SD-C I'm hooked.

Is that a problem you noticed or is it just a hypothetical at this point?

I'm boring.... I use either an SSA (or G2S) or SSA-E (or G2S-E) on everything.

I do not like flat trigger shoes at all.

Just got a flat trigger, SD-E, and love the flat over the curve.  Likely should have bought a SD-C or SD3G since it is likely not going to ever have a magnified optic...but it should be great for longer shots.
I have a SSA on my SBR and the flat SD-E feels a good deal lighter.

If you like the feel of the SSA, I would go with the SD-C since the flat trigger makes the pull feel lighter.  If you get a SD-C and you wish it was even lighter, hit me up and I might trade you my SD-E for it.

I have an sd-c on my 13.7 ar in 5.56 and in my 308 ar.  They are outstanding triggers and I love the way flat triggers feel.

I have a SSA in my precision AR and would like to move it to my HD gun and put a flat trigger in the precision.  Which one would be mimic the weight of the SSA, perhaps a touch lighter, but with a flat trigger?  The SD-C?

The SD-C will have the same weight pull weight as the SSA, but according to geissele, it will feel a little lighter.  The SD-E has the same weight as the SSA-E, but again, supposedly feels lighter.

I have both an SSA-E and SD-C.

Frankly, I can't tell the fucking difference between straight and curved.  The only difference is the break.

Can you compare the perceived pull weight between the two?  Geissele says the flat trigger makes them feel lighter, so how light does the SD-C feel compared to the SSA-E?

on a side note, I really wish ALG would come out with a "budget" flat trigger with the same specs as their ACT.  I think I would pay up to $100 for it.

Curved keeps my finger where I'm used to it being, so curved.  I don't need a trigger to feel any lighter by riding down on it.

I'll agree with that.  I can hardly tell the difference between the break on the two, despite the C being "heavier" than the E.

I think Kaik has the SD-E and SSA-E is he might give a better comparison.

Get a Hypertouch 24C.  It's a flat trigger that comes with an adjustable curved finger pad.  Best of both worlds. :)
