A simple poll to see what you think. Please keep comments clean. Would you buy their products? |

I will put myself on the record, I own all three, but I will only purchase their products used. I also purchased a used Jeep, I won't buy new from Daimler cause of their anti hunting ad's. But a Jeep is still the best thing going for getting off road in most cases. |

I was considering a Glock since it's about the only game in town for a new California 10mm. Fat chance now new or used. Ruger? My GF has a 10/22 that we got used. I don't have a need for anything they make. My M1A Scout and my handguns fill those needs, as do plenty of other companies. S&W... I'm a bit torn. I understand that they have not formally discarded the agreement, but I also know that they are essentially ignoring it. Would I like them to clearly terminate it? Yup. Will I buy new? I'd say that questions about quality are more likely to make that decision for me than the agreement. Used? Sure. |

Buying used is the same as buying new, in some respects - it keeps the market up! If there was no market for a particular used brand of weapon, then the new sales of that weapon would decline as well! It's a tool, remember. If it works for you, it works. As Lenin reportedly said, 'The capitalists will sell us the rope we use to hang them.' Well, these gun manufacturers are selling us the very weapons that may be used in a manner and/or under circumstances they never foresaw! Too bad. Eric The(ResistTyranny!)Hun[>]:)] |

You know, we have (yes I am guilty as well) said that Glock, Ruger, and S&W are not concerned about civilian sales. But they should be. Estimates are between 70-84 million gunowners in America, that means that there are that many if not more potential gun purchasers. What a huge market! EVERY gun mfg should be AGAINST any and all legislation that would curtail their civilian sales. There is not so many LE/GOV sales to be had. LE/GOV pricing on a glock for example is about $375 a copy, wholesale for a std Glock is about $435 a copy. They even make more per copy to civilians. The market should rule here, I feel maybe I am missing something here. I remember reading somewhere where the GOV pays around $160 per copy for M16's, Civilian AR's are @$750 What is up? Something is strange here. |
