This is the Jeb Bush I remember as governor.  The unions (especially Teachers Unions) hated him.  Has he changed?

From the NY Times no less...

I will NOT vote for that asshole.  Not even if he's on the general ballot and Pocahontas is the dem candidate.

But then again, that's probably the entire plan.  Get a Bush on the ticket and watch the Dem win in a landslide.

Anyone who votes for Bush in the primary is either a Bush family member, a democrat shill or a complete and utter fucking moron.

He's a threat alright, a threat to ever hope of keeping Clinton or Warren out of the white house.  If I was a Democrat I'd be cheering in the streets if he won the primary, and specially if Clinton loses theirs.  Jeebus, what a disaster that would be for this country.  And it's not his policies, it's the Bush name.  He'll push the middle right back into the Dem camp.

I was a Fla. State employee all during his time.  He went out of his way to harm us peons and did away with the several systems of 'checks and balances' which were to designed to cut down on incompetence and corruption among the administrators.  In the current system (due to him) the only method to resolve any problem is to go to court which the average employee certainly is not able to do.  Once someone is above the 'worker bee' level there is no accountability for ones actions.

Also the system is designed so that 'investigations' are designed so that the investigators assigned are usually people who are partially the cause of the problem under 'investigation'.  One of the situations where I filed a formal complaint against a very senior person, Doctor Gladys Branic, the State insisted that Dr. Branic was authorized to investigate the complaint about herself and was the only one allowed to do so, further that her decision would be final.

Sorry to hear that!  I've also heard the opposite... I have a niece, her husband, a nephew, and his wife who all worked for the state.  They were happy with the institutional changes.  My sister, who was a teacher, was not happy with 'No Child Left Behind' implementation by the local school boards, but much happier with the way the union was told to butt out.  These are all second hand observations...

Immigration Plan? Like this?

"The former Florida governor warned against President Barack Obama’s expected executive action to limit deportations, promised for some time shortly after the election. Instead, Bush said Congress needs to pass a bill and that a newly Republican Congress would solve the nation’s immigration woes — although the Republican-controlled House refused to vote on a major immigration bill this year.

“The constitution requires Congress to pass laws, not the president,” Bush said in Spanish, contrasting that with some Latin American strongmen’s ability to implement laws by fiat. If Obama acts unilaterally on immigration, Bush warned, “it will be harder to do it the appropriate way.”

Current positions aside, Jeb was an outstanding Governor.

Remember how Louisiana leadership handled Katrina?  Jeb was hit by a year long series of hurricanes and handled them exactly like he should have.  He didn't fly over the damage and cry for the camera.  He got the job done.

No, make not mistake - we have far better.  I would say 90% of arfcom are better than what we have to vote for each term.

But, those who are better either don't have the resources, won't run for fear of the lambastation, or are not chosen to run.
